Jonathan's Review
I really want to like this place more! A Peruvian client of mine recommended it to me. Lately I've been craving Peruvian food, nostalgically recalling my two visits to Chaclacayo. Roaming around the Village one evening in search of grub, Lloyd and I happened to walk past Pardo's and immediately followed our noses inside.

I ordered the Parrillero -- a mild-flavored slab of grilled chicken. Nice, tasty, but ultimately just average. I also had an interesting little appetizer -- in the shape of a Twinkie -- called Tacu Tacu, four small loaves of beans, rice, onion, garlic, and ají (Peruvian pepper). They were certainly unique, but too bland. The ambiance was OK, in spite of the huge pictures on the walls painstakingly depicting in 2D all the food they serve. (Would it have been so bad to just go with a much more appropriate, um, indigenous-art-of-Peru theme?); the crowd was the usual mix of hipsters and professionals, including a few Peruvian-looking-people. (That earned them an extra star.)

Don't get me wrong. I still might venture back to try the Pollos a la Brasa, which is what Peru is really famous for. Oh, and they serve Inca Cola, too -- worth a trip in itself.

Lloyd gave them an extra half-a-star. Why, Lloyd?
